6 Reasons to add CBD to your back to school list.

As we are gearing up and looking towards the start of the school year during these unprecedented times many of us are unsure of what this school year is going to hold for us. In school classes, distance learning, homeschooling, or some combination of all three?

One thing we do know is that it's going to be different. Sanitization and social distancing measures are being detailed out for schools opening. New technology is being implemented for distance learning. Everyone including students, teachers, parents, colleges, universities, professors, administration staff, and children will be trying to settle into a new normal. The beginning of every school year tends to bring excitement and anxiety but this year with the COVID pandemic it is safe to say that these emotions are amplified to a great degree.

It is all a lot to take in right now. So I thought I would put together a list of ways that CBD can help with the back to school stress.

  1. CBD may help improve overall mental health. Research suggests that CBD can be a helpful treatment for a multitude of mental health conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

  2. CBD can help with muscle aches and soreness that comes with sports and extracurricular activities. There have been many studies and numerous first-hand accounts of the pain-relieving properties of CBD including neuropathic, cancer-related, and chronic pain. Some of the top athletes in the world are using CBD to aid in workout recovery.

  3. CBD can improve anxiety. Test-taking, deadlines, public speaking, and forced social situations are all know causes of anxiety which can create havoc with student performance.

  4. Focus has long been a topic of discussion around students and learning. The ability to sit for long periods of time and retain information is a challenge for many. Cannabinoids have been found to help people focus, improve concentration, and help with ADHD.

  5. Sleep is an important part of proper immune functioning and the ability to learn and concentrate. CBD has been found to improve sleep in multiple studies and is commonly found to be the first noticeable side effect of taking CBD.

  6. The immune system is always taxed at the beginning of the school year which by no coincidence coincides with the beginning of the cold and flu season. With the COVID pandemic currently in full force, it has never been more important to support the immune system. CBD has been found to support the immune system by fighting inflammation and acting as an immunosuppressant and immunomodulator.

"CBD has the potential to help with anxiety. It helps by easing the feelings of anxiety and nervousness before a test or exam. This promotes clearer thinking which can help when it comes to remembering what a student has been taught or what they have studied."
